1.
Shares
RR reported that he had
found another 50 shares and had processed the sale. RH noted how pleased we were with RR's
work and thanked him for it.
BB noted whether we should
include the shares in the Trust accounts, as we had transferred revenue for shares.
Action 1: RH to talk to Phil
Sturgess about processing the transfer.
Action 2: Dave Roe to
investigate accounting for the shares as assets in the annual accounts.
Action 3: RH to talk to PS
about including a photocopy of the share certificate in the next newsletter to
members.
2.
Market research
PG noted that he was talking
to the Human Geography department at the University of Wolverhampton about
using the market research questionnaire as a level 2 or 3 student project. He
should have a decision this week. RH noted that a draft could be produced from
the initial data in January, which could go to the club and the press in March.
RH also noted that we would need a fall-back position if the UoW link fell
through.
Action 1: PG to talk to
Human Geography and to let RH know the outcome.
Action 2: RH to talk to PS
re: the Technical College as a fallback position.
3.
Liaison Committee
PG noted that Roy Whalley
did not want to do a joint Community Buildings Project bid with us. The group
decided that we should write to Mick Kearns to discover what they had bid for
and how we could work together in the future.
Action 1: PG to write to
Mick Kearns copied to Roy Whalley.
4.
Raffle
RH noted how well the raffle
had in raising £602 and that the prize winners had been contacted. AW suggested
that we have a single charity that we support each season, and PG suggested that
Purple Dreams could be this season's charity. AW was contacting other
organisations to obtain support for the Trust.
JW noted that the press
coverage of the raffle was poor and should be improved for next time.
Action 1: all - what lessons
have we learned and how can we improve the raffle next time?
5.
Any other business
RH asked for questions for
the club's AGM.
Action 1: all - to email RH
with proposed questions.
Membership drives - this was not mentioned. However, we need to
arrange to run a membership drive or two. RH suggested Wigan on 25th October
and Norwich on 1 November.
Action 1: all - to agree
dates and attendance.
